Leviton recently announced the new VerifEye EMHSP, a plug-and-play, flexible data acquisition server (DAS) designed to simplify energy management and reduce energy costs. The EMHSP provides a central hub for collecting energy data from meters and environmental sensors through Modbus and pulse inputs, enabling building operators and managers to make data-driven decisions to optimize facility energy costs. As a part of the Leviton VerifEye Submetering Solutions line, the EMHSP seamlessly integrates with VerifEye submeters, providing a unified platform for comprehensive energy monitoring and management.
The EMHSP is ideal for a range of IP-based applications such as enterprise energy management, demand response and smart grid programs. It allows users to connect thousands of energy points, benchmark energy usage and gain valuable insight into energy consumption. Furthermore, the EMHSP offers a robust solution for the renewable energy sector, providing compatibility with a wide variety of inverters and monitoring software and user-friendly data logging for solar operators.
The EMHSP features dual Ethernet ports with a single Modbus (RS485) input, four inputs for pulse meters, and two outputs for control applications. The dual Ethernet ports provide enhanced network security by separating upstream connections from downstream devices. This allows downstream devices connected to the EMHSP to operate independently from the upstream data transfer, providing isolation from the internet for the connected devices.
The intuitive user interface features a configuration wizard with integrated help screens, simplifying the initial setup. Data is collected and logged based on user selected intervals, allowing users to customize reporting based on their specific energy monitoring needs. Compatible with nearly any front-end software platform, users can enjoy a variety of reporting tools and view data from local or remote sites via a standard web browser, eliminating the need for any proprietary software.
